Scholarship Opportunities:

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada, which serves government finance professionals throughout those countries, is pleased to announce the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship, Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship, Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship and the Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship.

Candidates for these scholarships should have a superior record of academic achievement and/or job performance and show promise of completion of their studies at a high level of performance.  In addition, candidates should have plans to pursue a career in state or local government finance.

All applications must be postmarked no later than February 20, 2015.  The winner will be informed, and the award publicly announced, by April 30, 2015.  The scholarship recipient will be invited to attend the GFOAs annual conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 31-June 3, 2015.  This includes a complementary annual conference registration, transportation costs to Philadelphia, and hotel accommodations.
